You can do "whatis" or "locate" on particular filenames in the command line - so that would be netbiosd for user _netbios to see where they're located. ![]() Why do they all have to have their own user accounts? Well there's books filled on that. Not every system task can run under your own user account. You're just seeing the peculiar old timey UNIX underpinnings.
